I have searched the forums for a good answer to my questions but so far I haven't found it so I'll ask it.
I read in the plex manual that only file names are searchable when it comes to movies in your collection. When you are dealing with regular movies it's a minor inconvenience since I can go into a movie and from there click an actor to see my collection of his/her movies.
But I have alot of home movies and would love to be able to enter searchable meta data like actors and titles so I can search for mom and see all the clips that she is in. I haven't found a good answer to this. Is searchable meta data something that they are working on? Why isn't it implemented already since the meta data is already there as we speak? And why can't we add actors as meta data since that is at least a clickable search term?
Would love if someone knew a good answer or could point me to the thread where it has been discussed already.
