Dual band router

Hi all,
So I have a dual band router (2.4 & 5) and was wondering should I put everything onto the 5ghz channel as it's meant to be better one or would it make more sense to spread some devices on 2.4 and some on 5? Hope this makes sense and thanks in advance :)
