I just did a massive upgrade of my main rig (basically a ground up build)...and would like to repurpose my old hardware for NAS/media serving duties (I know it's not the most energy efficient set up...but it is free)
FX-8350
gtx-970
16gb ddr3
m5a-97
intel 520 ssd OS drive
Corsair h115i for cooling
So for the hardware...is there enough support in ubuntu-server to run it for Media/NAS/vpn/virtualization?
I can always just run windows 10 stripped down, but, not the best headless option.
FreeNAS?
Looking for any suggestions, if based on prior experience...even better.
Thanks!
