Version 1.1.3.2700

I have been using Plex media server for a few years now with a LGTV media link, since this last update where i have to autorise a device IP without login, cannot get it to work.
I include the IP in the box marked 'List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth'
i have logged out and in, restarted the server several times but still does not work.
Secured box is in 'Preferred'
Do I still need to include something for it to work? its getting a bit frustrating.
TV is connected to the same router/network not wireless.
Please help i have run out of ideas
