So I have plex media server on a linux server (and also Mediatomb). I gave up on plex a long time ago, while Mediatomb worked great, but since Mediatomb doesn't have that great interface like plex, I kept going back and forth seeing if the problems I've been having with Plex have been resolved.
So the problem I've been having with Plex mainly is that it's really slow, especially when Subtitles are enabled. I tried to change subtitles configuration as some posts suggest, but that didn't help. The slowness is everywhere on all Plex players, including Android, my WebOS TV Player, etc. I tried all that with a plex pass for 1 month, then gave up.
Now I got to know Rasplex, which VERY surprisingly worked super-fine with not the least problem. I bought a Raspberry Pi especially for it, and now I'm very happy with this.
So while Rasplex works very well with no problems, I would love to understand why none of the default plex players are working. I would really appreciate someone's assistance on troubleshooting the problems I'm having with it.
